Robert Grabowski

Robert E. Grabowski, 94, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 1:40 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at McKinley Court Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Decatur. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: Trinity Lutheran Church or L.S.A. Robert was born January 20, 1921, in Decatur, IL, the son of Edward and Matilda (Riewski) Grabowski. Robert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Royal Arcanum. He was also a member of First Golf Association of Nelson Park and was an avid golfer. Robert retired from Illinois Power after 41 years of service. Surviving are his cousin: Eileen Rodgers of Decatur, IL; nephews: Stephen Grabowski of West LaFayette, IN, John Grabowski of New York, NY, and Tom Grabowski of Edinberg, TX; nieces: Janet Grabowski of Spring Hill, FL and Dianne Curry of Oakley, IL. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Marie, Freda, and Lucille, brothers: Melvin and Ernest, and sisters-in-law Maxine Grabowski and Joan Grabowski. "
