Robert Steven Steve Browne, 64, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 4:08 a.m. Saturday, December 25, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital with his family and friends by his side. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or to Cancer Care Specialists of Decatur. Steve was born on September 21, 1946, in Decatur, IL, the son of Raymond W. Browne and Martha Livergood. He married Paulette Dalamas on August 5, 1967. Steve was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Steve was employed by Borg Warner, Zexel Corp, and most recently at Prairie State Bank. He was associated with Decatur Pony League Baseball and was a fan of the Fighting Illini, St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Paulette of Decatur, IL; son Anthony James Browne and wife Lyle of Zionsville, IN; grandchildren Taylor, Morgan and Colin; sisters Cindy Workman and husband Ron of Knoxville, TN, Sherry Dennis and husband John of Decatur, IL, Barb Moran of Kirkwood, N.Y., Connie Lee of Kirkwood, N.Y., Lucille R. Chamberlain of Vestal, N.Y. and brother Ray Browne and wife Linda of White Lake, N.Y.Steve was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ober Cookson.The family would like to thank Cancer Care Center Specialists of Decatur for their loving care and support. And a special thank you to his Prairie State Bank family for their love and kindness.Steve was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a loving friend to many. "
