Robert "Bob" Brown, Sr., 79, of Cerro Gordo, IL, passed away 7:45 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 22, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. The family requests casual attire. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or Gift of Hope. Bob was born April 16, 1935 in Decatur, IL, the son of George Oscar and Helen G. (Henderson) Brown. He married Barbara Lee Benton on December 11, 1955 in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death on April 26, 1999. Bob worked for 25 years for the Cerro Gordo School District as a custodian. He loved working with his old antique tractors, riding his golf cart around town, hanging out at Casey's, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Rusty. Bob attended The Brethren Church of Cerro Gordo. He is survived by his son Robert Brown, Jr.; daughter Brenda Blacker and husband Greg; grandchildren Gregory and Shelby Blacker, all of Cerro Gordo, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, one brother and two sisters. "
