Robert William Bold, 72, of Loami, IL., formerly of Decatur, IL., passed away on Saturday (11-08-08) at 11:40 P.M. in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday (11-12-2008) at St. James Catholic Church Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday (11-11-2008) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL. Box 637 St. Charles, MO. 63302Robert was born on October 29, 1936 in Decatur, IL., the son of Howard Bold and Naomi (Carothers) Bold. He married Carol A. Pierard on August 10, 1962 in Decatur, IL.He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Waverly, IL. and was a former member of St. James Catholic Church in Decatur, IL. Robert was a machinist at Bold Machine Works in Decatur, IL. He retired as a Sales Engineer at Iowa Laser Technology in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Robert was formerly in Masonic Lodge in Auburn, IL. He was in the Knights of Columbus in Auburn, IL., Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Commemorative Air Force - Missouri Wing, where he was commissioned as a Colonel and served as Operations Officer and Wing Leader. Robert also was an Accomplished Pilot with ratings and had attended Millikin University.He is survived by his wife: Carol of Loami, IL.; daughters: Cheryl Johnson and husband Terry of Mt. Zion, IL., Debbie Runyan and husband Mike of Knoxville, TN., Jamie Dixon and husband William of Loami, IL., Teresa Baker and Companion Loren Lott of Waverly, IL. Nicole Bold of Loami, IL.; son: Matthew Bold and wife Carrie of Trinity, FL.; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great- grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother - James.
