Robert Dean Bell, 74, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at his residence. A Memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 5 p.m until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Korean War Veterans Association. Robert was born November 26, 1937, in Decatur, IL, the son of George and Thelma (Musgrove) Bell. Robert was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War, and was a member of Korean War Veterans Association. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Robert worked as a materials handler for Caterpillar Tractor Co., retiring after 30 years of service. He was a wonderful father and enjoyed spending time with his sons. He also enjoyed walking in Fairview Park and sports. Surviving are his sons Jeff (Robin) Bell and Jay (Stephanie) Bell, all of Decatur, IL; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother Charles (Wilma) Bell of Decatur, IL; sister Nita (Jim) Peterson of Decatur, IL; brother Bill (Yvette) Bell of Fort Meyers Beach, FL; brother Jerome (Linda) Bell of Maroa, IL; and sister Theresa Bell of Decatur, IL. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. "
