Funeral services will be 3:30 P.M., Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, Illinois.Bob was born March 8, 1948 to Cleta Rae and Robert Gail Barnes. He is preceded in death by his mother. He married Betty (Ogle) Dorothy on April 1, 1999. Surviving are: his father, Robert Gail; his wife, Betty, one daughter, Jami Barnes of Aurora, IL; one sister, Marta (Michael) Jones of Roscoe, IL; two step-daughters, Saundra Dorothy of Decatur; Shauna (Mark) Hall of Harristown; and two step-granddaughters, Sadie Dorothy and Maddie Hall.Bob was an avid flower gardener, enjoyed fishing and his pets. Bob was a retired electrician of I.B.E.W. Local #146. He worked for Barnes Electric for 30 years. He was an Air Force Veteran stationed in Germany.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association or Lupus Foundation. "
