Rita L. Oyler, 81, of Decatur, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Imboden Creek Living Center.Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude or American Heart Association.Rita was born January 13, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of Krekel and Lois (Davis) Karch. She married Kent Oyler in Decatur on March 19, 1955. He preceded her in death. Rita retired from Blue Teal Monument Company. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Rita is survived by her children, Mike (Linda) Oyler, Dianna (Bill) Heyer, Teal (Buddy) Walker, and Laura Tucker, all of Decatur; grandchildren, Chad (Gina) Heyer of Pine River, MN, Erica Heyer of Decatur, Torey (Zachary) Zwanzig of Bloomington, Alexa Tucker of Boone, NC, Zachary (Heather) Oyler of Peoria, Joe Oyler of Decatur, and Amanda Oyler of Decatur; step-grandchildren, Tony (Linda) Perry, Annie Perry and Adam Perry; great grandchildren, Jordan, Layla, Clove, Madelynn, Jacob, and Grace; step-great grandchildren, Kyle, Kalen, Brooke, and Ethan; brother Mel (Jeanne) Karch; nieces and nephews, Cathy Compare, John Ruder, Todd Ruder, Mindy McGee, Marc Karch and Sharon Herold. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, in-laws, Monroe and Dorothy Oyler, son-in-law, Craig Kaufman, sister-in-law, Linda Ruder, and her faithful companion cocker spaniel, Nick.
