Ricky L. "Rick" Hoffman, 55, of Maroa, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m., Sunday, August 16, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with Masonic services starting at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to the family for a scholarship fund for his children. Rick was born August 24, 1959 in Decatur, IL, the son of Harold Eugene and Norma Jean (Cook) Hoffman. He married Glenda Baker on October 7, 2000 in Decatur, IL. Rick was a member of Life Builders Church of God. He worked for G&D Transportation as a truck driver, loved watching his children play sports, enjoyed watching and participating in stock car racing, and loved his dog and cats. He was a member of the Cerro Gordo Masonic Lodge #600. He is survived by his wife Glenda of Maroa; children Daniel Hoffman and Emma Hoffman, both at home; mother Norma Jean; siblings Debra Jean (Jim) Rear, Randy Dean Hoffman, Ronnie Eugene Hoffman, all of Monticello, IL; several nieces and nephews; special great niece Edyn; father-in-law and mother-in-law Danny & Karen Baker of Decatur, IL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jason & Cindy Manint of Maroa, IL. The family would like to thank special friend and driver Danny Smith. He was preceded in death by his father. "
