Richard J. Dickie Tucker, Jr., 56, of Decatur, passed away at 12:53 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital.Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. The family requests casual attire. Arrangements by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur. Memorials may be made to the Richard J. Dickie Tucker, Jr. Memorial Fund.Dickie was born February 7, 1953, in Decatur, the son of Richard J. Tucker, Sr. and Dorothy (Shepard) Tucker. Dickie was a truck driver and a member of A.B.A.T.E. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.Surviving are his daughter Tina M. Tucker of Decatur; son Richard James Tucker III of Decatur; mother of his children Teri Mae of Argenta; grandchildren Aaron Russell, Amanda Russell, Kaylie Griffin, Austin Tucker and Greyson Craig, all of Decatur. sisters Rebecca McQueen and husband Steve of Decatur, Cindy Hooper of Decatur; brothers Jackie Jackson of Atlanta, GA, Eric Shawn Tucker of Decatur.
