Richard Stanley

Richard Allen Stanley, 67, of Latham, Illinois passed away at 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur Illinois, at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the family or to Cancer Care Specialists of IL. Richard was born in Monticello, IL, on January 29, 1952 to Lloyd Gene and Dorothy May (Stone) Stanley. He married Wilma Mae Marshall on November 10, 1973; she preceded him in death on May 4, 2012. He worked at ADM for over 35 years and was a member of the American Federation of Grain Millers Union, Local 103. He is survived by daughters, Leslie Stanley of Latham, IL and Angela Stanley of Decatur, IL; brothers, Lloyd Gene Stanley Jr. and Gary (Brenda) Stanley, both of Springfield, IL; sisters, Donna (Mark) Wade of Sherman, IL and Tina (Michael) Evans of Hidalgo, IL; grandchildren Jacob and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son Richard Allen Stanley, Jr. The family would like to thank the Decatur Cancer Care Center and DMH ICU & Comfort Care Department for their excellent care and compassion. Richard will always be remembered for his caring, helpful, and jokester personality!
