Richard C. Hundley, 87, of Decatur, IL passed away at 1:20 p.m., Monday, October 7, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013, at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin, IL, with Pastor Don Martin officiating. Masonic and Military graveside rites will also be conducted. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church or Cancer Care Specialists of Central IL. Richard was born September 9, 1926 in Herrin, IL, the son of Richard and Mary Rosana (Heppill) Hundley. He married Norma Lee Hundley on July 2, 1955 in Desota, IL. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2009. Richard was a member of Central Christian Church. He worked as a crane operator for Caterpillar Tractor. Richard was a member of Stephen Decatur Masonic Lodge #979 AF & AM, Zohak Grotto, Springfield Consistory, Ansar Shrine Temple in Springfield, IL, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his children Roger (Rose) Hundley of Robstown, TX, Emma (Mahommad) Houshmand of Collinsville, IL, Michael (Jenny) Lambdin of Forsyth, IL; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brothers Robert Hundley of Owensboro, KY, Royce Hundley of Herrin, IL; sisters Mabel Yates of Herrin, IL and Ellen Willhite of Paris Crossing, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma, son Richard, one brother and one sister. "
