Richard Boulware

Richard D. Boulware, 78, of Decatur, IL., passed away at 3:25 A.M. on Sunday (06-12-2011) at St. Marys Hospital.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday (06-16-2011) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL., with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday (06-15-2011) at the funeral home. Burial will be at Croniger Cemetery, Cisco, IL. Military rites will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.Memorials may be made to: Central Illinois Honor Flight.Richard was born on May 10, 1933 in Decatur, IL., the son of Samuel Boulware and Lucille (Cornell) Boulware. He married Peggy Elaine Gossett on June 1, 1959. She preceded him in death on October 28, 1999.Richard served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Group and also the Central Illinois Honor Flight, which was very special to him. He worked for over twenty years as a social worker in the Department of Public Aid. Surviving are his children: Rick Gossett, Jerry Boulware and wife Lori of South Carolina, Timothy Boulware and wife Mary of Decatur, IL., and Brenda Burcham and husband Todd of Decatur, IL.; five grandchildren: Ashley Phillips, Cortney Boulware, Nikole Boulware, Savana Burcham, and Jacob Burcham; sister: Marie Oyler of Decatur, IL; brother: Ted Boulware of Decatur, IL; and sister: Annette Hager of Romeoville, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sisters and one brother.
