Raymond Evans

Raymond Ralph Evans, 97, of Decatur, IL, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014, in the comfort of his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Prairie Avenue Christian Church. Raymond was born September 27, 1916 in Hammond, IL, the son of James and Goldie Evans. He married Mildred R. Long on October 22, 1936, in Rockville, IN. Raymond worked at Decatur Milling Company until it closed and retired from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceutical. Surviving are his wife of 77 years, Mildred and daughter Jean Ann Duckworth; grandchildren Jacqueline McQuality of Forsyth, IL; James (Rhonda) Duckworth of Forsyth, IL; Jeffrey (Rita) of Fairview Heights, IL; great-grandsons Mitchell (Amanda) Duckworth and Sean (Krystal) Duckworth of Decatur, IL; great-granddaughters Brittany McQuality of Forsyth, IL and Jacoby Duckworth of Carbondale, IL; great-great-grandsons Jack and Luke Duckworth and great-great twin granddaughters Haven and Kennedy of Decatur, IL. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and son James Raymond. "
