Randall J. Whicker, 82, of Decatur, IL, passed away 6:33 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at home with his loving family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, at Life Foursquare Church, Decatur. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 24, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Life Foursquare Church. Randy was born October 26, 1931, in Decatur, IL, the son of Selestin and June (Daniels) Whicker. He married Luana June Redden on July 16, 1950, in Decatur. Randy was a member of Life Foursquare Church in Decatur where he taught the Ambassador class, served on the communion board and was an usher, participated in the visitation ministry, and was the founder of the Joy Group. He loved going to church and enjoyed playing golf. Randy was a supervisor in processing at A.E. Staley, retiring after 37 ½ years of service. Randy was a man of integrity and loyal to his family and his Lord and Savior. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Lu of Decatur, IL; sons: Gregory A. Whicker of Urbana, IL; David S. Whicker and wife Tammy of Decatur, IL; Kurt D. Whicker and wife Linda of Oreana, IL; Jay R. Whicker and wife Ana Maria of Aurora, CO; and Joel M. Whicker and wife Cher of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law: John Redden and wife Karen; and two nieces and one nephew. Randy was preceded in death by his father Selestin, mother June and step-father James Bloir. "
