Ralph Forrest

Ralph Lester Forrest passed away on December 2, 2014. Private services will be held at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the American Red Cross. Ralph was born January 18, 1931 in Potomac, IL, to Lester and Hazel Forrest, one of five children. A brother, Glen Forrest and a sister, Marjorie Judy and many nieces and nephews survive him. He entered the Service after high school and was a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force at Harlington, Texas. Ralph went to the University of Illinois and received a Master of Science degree. He was a farm manager in Olney, IL and then moved to Decatur to work at Citizens National Bank in the farm department and later became Vice President in Commercial Loans. Ralph married Joanne DeBarr and she survives him. Surviving are 4 stepchildren: David DeBarr, Pamela Kenney, Joseph DeBarr, and Lisa Perrett, and 7 grandchildren. "
