R. Lorraine Roberts, 77, of Harristown, IL, died at 1:05 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL, with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL. The family requests casual attire. Lorraine was born April 3, 1938, in Argenta, IL, daughter of Richard "Lyle" Tuvell and Dorothy (Wilson) Tuvell. She married John Lee Roberts on December 21, 1956, in Warrensburg, IL. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2013. Lorraine was a housewife and stay at home mom. When her children were older, she worked at Canteen and Taylor Pharmaceuticals. She was a Harristown Village board trustee for 10 years. Lorraine especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving are her daughter: Brenda (Lane) Hendricks of Decatur; sons: Gary "Bones" Roberts of Harristown, IL and Steve (Julie Anderson) Roberts of Decatur; grandchildren: Josh Hendricks, Tyler (Danielle Wilber) Hendricks, Haylee Roberts and Cory (Crystal) Hendricks of Decatur; great-grandchildren: Lane Hendricks, Kristen Wilber and Chloe Reynolds of Decatur; special friend: Charlie Blankenship of Decatur. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister: Billie (George) Collins, brothers: William "Bud" Tuvell and Richard "Dick" Tuvell; and granddaughter: Samantha Hendricks. The family would like to thank the staff and especially the nurses at St. John's ICU and Hospice for the wonderful care of our mom. "
