Quinn Davis

Quinn Albert Davis, 85, of Blue Mound, Ill. Died Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at the Vonderleith Living Center, Mt. Pulaski, Ill. Memorial Visitation will at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 from 4-7:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Audubon Society. Mr. Davis was born March 5, 1929 in Gifford, Ill., the son of Lewis & Alice Watson Davis. He was retired Manager of the Niantic Grain Elevator. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Doris Reynolds, Sept. 30, 1950 and she preceded him April 11, 2000. Surviving are his children; Gregory L. Davis and wife Mary of Blue Mound, IL., Daniel E. Davis and wife Mitzi of Florida, Karen L. Timmons of Illiopolis, IL., Karol L. Davis of Decatur, IL and Debra S. Slifer and husband Daniel of Rockville, IND. Grandchildren ; Daphne ,Chad, Jereme, Valerie, Tammy, Angie, Josh, Nick, Cherie, Erica, Ryan, Dylan, Matt. Seventeen great grandchildren survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and one grandchild. Quinn was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, reading, and playing cards. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements. "
