Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday (08-13-2008) with a prayer service at 10:00 AM at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be held Wednesday (08-13-2008) at 12:30 P.M. at Greenhill Cemetery, Vanburensburg, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL, where she was a member.Phyllis was born on May 3, 1931 in Fillmore, IL., the daughter of Wilbert Bess and Reva (Wilson) Bess.She married Charles Eugene White on June 12, 1949 in Coffeen, IL.Phyllis was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing.She is survived by her husband Charles of Decatur, IL.; Daughters: Linda Russell and husband Phillip of Decatur, IL., Susan Anderson and husband Russell of Decatur, IL., and Janet Cox and husband Richard of Blue Mound, IL.; Sisters: Bernadine Huber and husband Fritz of Coffeen, IL. and Melbourine Blackburn and husband Bill of Coffeen, IL.; Grandchildren: Stacey Waddington and husband Larry, Brian Wikoff, Erin Gomez and husband Gus,Megan Barnes and husband Josh, Evan Claypool, and Brett Claypool; Great-grandchildren: Caytlin Cearlock, Colin Wikoff, Gabrielle Gualandi, Devon Bresnahan, Selina Wikoff, Ty Claypool, and Julian Gomez.; Special cousin: Sue Jones and husband Bill.She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Eric Claypool.
