CUSTOM DEATH NOTICELaPlace, IL - Phyllis E. Hodge, 79, of LaPlace, IL died 1:07 AM Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Heartland of Decatur. Funeral service for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday December 15, 2008 at LaPlace Church of the Brethren where family will meet with friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be at LaPlace Cemetery in LaPlace, IL.Memorials have been suggested to LaPlace Church of the Brethren.Phyllis was born February 18, 1929, in Atwood, IL, the daughter of Fred and Erma (Mechling) Anglin. She married Joseph R. Hodge, March 25, 1949 in LaPlace, IL. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2004.Phyllis was a member of LaPlace Church of the Brethren, where she served as a Deaconess. She enjoyed her family, taking vacations and bus trips with tour groups. Surviving are her five children Gary W. Hodge and wife, Cathy of Lovington, Larry E. Hodge and wife Joy of LaPlace, Kenneth D. Hodge and wife Janet of Oreana, Keith A. Hodge of London, Kentucky, Karla J. Procell and husband Edgar of Sullivan; three sisters Freida Faz of Decatur, Marie Moomey of Decatur, Virginia Ward and husband Bill of Westville, Ohio; two brothers Ralph Bud Anglin and wife Beverly of Kewanee, Marvin Bussy Anglin and wife Maria of Edgewood, New Mexico, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Also preceding Phyllis in death are her parents, one sister - Jean, and two brothers Melvin and Carl.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
