Phyllis Crutcher

Phyllis Crutcher, 82, of Forsyth, IL, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 30, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Forsyth United Methodist Church. Phyllis was born October 18, 1936, in Forsyth, IL, daughter of Frank and Bertha (Elliott) Crutcher. Phyllis was a member of Forsyth United Methodist Church and Perfect Windettes. She was a former member of the American Softball Association and played on a State of Illinois championship baseball team. She retired from Grigoleit Company after 42 years of service and was a former director at Grigoleit Employees Credit Union. Phyllis enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and was an avid Cardinal fan. Surviving is her nieces: Donna (Terry) Beasley and Debra (Steve) Smith; nephews: Donald Campbell and Jerry Crutcher; special great nephew: Wade Beasley; great niece: Alycia Dougherty and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Elwood Crutcher, Frank Crutcher, Jr. and Donald Crutcher, and sister: Margaret Kuntz. We would also like to thank St. Mary’s Hospital and staff for their care and compassion. Also to her wonderful long time school friends, Cleo, Elsie and Pat.
