Philip Pickerill, 78, of Decatur, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at his residence.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family.
Philip was born February 5, 1947, in Ina, IL, the son or Karl Herman and Bessie Marie (Cole) Pickerill. He married Barbara Ann Newberry on April 26, 1965 in Ina.
Philip was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall where he served as a minister and elder. He was the owner and operator of Perfection Auto Body where he worked with his son Brent.
A father, brother and a true friend to all he met.
Surviving are his children: Sherry (Carlos) Klamath Falls, OR, Cindy (Cameron) Boyd of Old Town, FL, Karl “Brent” (Alane) of Decatur, IL and Suzanne of Decatur, IL.; grandchildren: Daniel Boyd and Christian Worthington; sister: Beverly Goddard of Dix, IL. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and his spiritual family.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Phillip, Jr., two sisters and one brother.
