Penny Lynn (Lowe) Collier, 46, of Decatur, IL, passed away on August 1, 2009, in St. Johns Hospital, Springfield, IL.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Graveside services and burial will follow in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL.Penny was born in Decatur on August 14, 1962, the daughter of Donald and Sandy Lowe. She married Richard C. Collier on October 18, 1981 in Harristown, IL. Penny loved to be with her family, play softball, listen to country music (CMT), go fishing, and eat! She was a recent graduate of Gateway Foundation and active in NA and AA meetings.Surviving are her daughter Amanda and husband Kevin Moran, son Andrew Collier, parents Donald and Sandy Lowe, brothers Rick Lowe and Ronnie Lowe Sr. (wife Susan), all of Harristown, sisters Vicky Mathias, Chrissy Coggan (husband Kevin), Tonya Lowe, and Amy Lowe all of Decatur, and many, many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.Penny was preceded in death by her husband Richard Collier, nephew Ronnie Lowe Jr., maternal grandparents Lewis Owens and Louise (Granny) Yeck, paternal grandparents George and Pearl Lowe.She was a loving and dedicated mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be genuinely remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.A memorial fund in Pennys name has been set up at State Bank of Niantic to aid in funeral costs.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
