CUSTOM DEATH NOTICEPauline Marie (Hickman) Mattison, 90, of Decatur, died 3:29 PM, November 1, 2008, at Heartland of Decatur. Services will be held 10 AM Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6 - 8 PM at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services at the church..Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or Decatur Senior Center.Pauline was born the daughter of Merle Truman and Elsie Rachel (Denni) Yoakum. She married Charles W. Hickman January 1937 in Terre Haute, IN. She later married Lowell Mattison in Peoria, IL in 1959. She was in the food service industry for many years.She enjoyed family and gardening and was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She lived at Eagle Ridge and was proud of her contributions to the residents there.She was survived by her seven children, Mary Harris and husband David of Zellwood, FL, Norma Lewis and husband Duane of Decatur, Robert Hickman and wife Gail of Minooka, IL, Elizabeth Behrns of Cary NC, Carolyn Brimm and husband Gary of Cheyenne WY, William Hickman and wife Peggy of Forsyth, IL, James Hickman and wife Nancy of Decatur, two brothers John Yoakum of KS, Richard Yoakum of NJ; 17 grandchildren, 40 step-grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and many step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, 2 husbands, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers 2 step-sons and 2 grandsons.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
