It is with great sadness that we share the news of Paul Nosek 's peaceful passing on March 24, 2024, from complications due to cancer which came on suddenly, and, at age 61, much much too soon. He was born on July 27, 1962 in Decatur, IL, to Richard and Leila (Lewis) Nosek. His loss will leave a great void in many people's lives.
His family has many good memories of Paul over the decades, engaging in several activities with him and his friends, he entertained many by his ready and delightful sense of humor.
On his more serious side, Paul was a hard worker, often pulling double shifts, by day as the senior mechanic at Miles Chevrolet auto dealership, and by night as a senior mechanic at Spare Time bowling alley.
Bowling was one of his passions -- he was a formidable amateur bowler, participating in 23 consecutive national tournaments and chalking up several perfect 300 games. He was also an avid medieval historical reenactor.
Paul (aka Lord Siglor) was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Dee Polasek-Nosek (aka Lady Feri); a dedicated father to his daughter Julie; spoiler of his grandchildren: Chesza, Annaleigha, and Emrys; a generous supporter of his brother, Jeff Nosek. His family, along with Paul's many friends, will greatly miss him.
He is survived by his brother, Rich Nosek and his wife Geri; and his nieces and nephews: Sam, Sharayah, Simon, Seth, Tamar, and Gabrielle.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Nosek; and his stepdaughter: Amber Nose.
A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at Spare Time Lanes on July 8, 2024, with times to be determined at a later date.
