Paul Bundy

Paul L. Bundy, 83, of Decatur, IL, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019. Private family graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Monticello Railway Museum. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family. Paul was born January 30, 1936, in Decatur, son of Herbert I. and Ada B. (Hadley) Bundy. He married Patricia Myers on May 20, 1955, in Decatur. Paul retired after 44 years as a trainman, working for Illinois Central Railroad. He enjoyed wood-working and was a lifetime member of the Monticello Railway Museum. Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Patricia; sons: James Lee Bundy and wife Linda and David Wayne Bundy and wife Julie, all of Decatur; special niece: Pam Plain and husband Ivan of Lady Lake, FL; grandchildren: Tyler Bundy and wife Kate, Kallie Bundy, Daniel Bundy, and Leigh Martin and husband Micah; great-nieces: Nicole Goodrich and husband Brian of Bradenton, FL, and Laura Plain-Gonzalez and husband Alex of Umatilla, FL. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and one brother. "
