Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, Illinois 60631.Patsy was born on February 27, 1927, in Decatur, Illinois. Her parents Ralph and Ruth Shumate, were both from Decatur, as were their parents. Ralph was an owner of the Decatur Warehouse. Patsy had two sisters, Betty and Jean, and one brother Orval. Patsy, her sisters, and brother grew up in a house on Sunset Avenue.Patsy graduated from Millikin University on June 7, 1948. She was in the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, President of the Womens Athletic Association, WAA, and Homecoming Queen in 1947. Patsy was a teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, Eisenhower High School and Holy Family Elementary School. She also worked at the Macon County Court House and 1st National Bank. Patsy was a volunteer at Decatur Memorial Hospital and Warrensburg Library as well as an election judge. She enjoyed bowling, walking and outdoor activities as well as watching her grandchildren play sports.Patsy Lumm happily lived the remainder of her life with her husband Ed in Clinton, Illinois.Patsy is survived by her husband Ed, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Terry Hansen, daughter and son-in-law Lori and Bob Blythe, son and daughter-in-law Bob and Lisa Foster and son Jim Foster. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.She loved her family very much of which no sacrifice was too great. "
