Patsy Bailey

Patsy M. Bailey, 82, of Decatur, IL, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Long Point Cemetery, Niantic, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, February 10, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Humane Society or Homeward Bound. Patsy was born August 22, 1929 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Leon and Fairy (Logue) Anderson. She married James T. Bailey on July 2, 1949 in Louisville, KY. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2002. Patsy worked as a Leasing Agent for Decatur Housing Authority from 1984 to 2002. Prior to that, she was a secretary at Bob Nichols Advertising and was an Executive Secretary at G.E. Patsy enjoyed reading and collecting cookbooks, but hated to cook. She especially enjoyed being with her family and her cats. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Holman (Lloyd Richard) of Decatur, IL; son Timothy Bailey of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Danika Holman and Courtney Bailey, both of Decatur, IL; and sister Pamela Anderson of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband James. The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Fair Havens Christian Home, especially Dave, Tina, Veronica, Kayla, Clarissa and Sarah, for the care and compassion given to Patsy. "
