Patrick Dulaney

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.Memorials may be made to Decatur Humane Society, D.A.V. or to National Rifle Society.Patrick was born on January 22, 1952, in Decatur, the son of Hobart and Barbara Lee (Collins) Veech.Patrick retired from the U.S. Navy, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, he was an independent painter. He was a life member of NRA, VFW 99, D.A.V. and of the American Legion.Surviving are his ex-wife and best friend Deborah Lowe, of Decatur; step mother Betty Dulaney of Salem, IL; brothers Mike Dulaney and wife Judy of Decatur, IL, James Peveler of Decatur, IL, Mark Dulaney of Alma, IL; sisters Marsha Porter of Cerro Gordo, IL, Peggy (Wildman) Wallace of Decatur, IL, Janet Snyder and husband Dan of Cerro Gordo, IL; cats Desperado Lee Faye and Rasputin; he also leaves behind his best friends Mitchell Lowe, Mike Hudson, Steve Kinney, and Richard Hinton.Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny Dulaney who passed away February 4, 2008, sister Paula Lindsey, and pets Jones and Baby Lou.
