Patricia Hyland Uhl, 81, died on April 12, 2010. Visitation will be held at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL on Friday, April 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 5:45 P.M. prior to visitation. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Decatur, IL. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL are handling the arrangements.Pat was born May 23, 1928, in Penn Yan, New York, to Justin Edward Hyland and Esther Kerner Hyland.She graduated from The Mary Louis Academy in Jamaica, New York, and in 1949 graduated from The College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, New York. Pat worked at Biow Advertising Agency and IBM World Headquarters in New York City.She met Robert Riley Uhl at the University of Notre Dame at the Law Ball in 1948 on a blind date. They married on November 10, 1951, at St. Patricks Cathedral, New York City.They lived in Rego Park, New York, until 1953 when they moved to Decatur. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1985.Pat was actively involved with St. Patrick Church, St. Patrick School, St. Teresa High School, and St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving children are: Cathleen Stock (Keith) of Stamford, Connecticut; Terence J. Uhl (Barbara) of Solon, Ohio; Mary Brooks (Stuart) of West Chester, Pennsylvania; Michael J. Uhl (Sherry) of Dallas, Texas; Anne Davis (Mark) of Decatur.Surviving grandchildren are: N. Alexander Stock, R. Justin Stock, C. Hilary Stock, M. Bridget Stock, Jennifer L. Brinckmeyer, Lindsay B. Barbicas, Monica N. Uhl, Katherine R. Uhl, Elizabeth S. Brooks, Patrick R. Brooks, Edward B. Brooks, Robert C. Uhl, Riley C. Uhl, Molly H. Davis, and Michael R. Davis. "
