Patricia (Pat) Swearingen, 73, of Oreana, IL, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.Graveside services will be 11:30 A.M., Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.Patricia was born November 22, 1944 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Kenneth Lee and Ruby Irene (Jordan) Smith. She married James Lee Swearingen on February 11, 1966 in Decatur, IL. Jim and Pat were married for 52 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She retired from Kohl’s Department Store as a sales clerk in 2015 after several years of service. She is survived by her children Christine (Dennis) Hilderbrand of Decatur, Rick (Joy) Swearingen of Mt. Zion, Jody (Bob) Melosi of Highland, IL; grandchildren Keri, Jason, Tiffany, Ryan, Ben, D.J., Jenna, and Justin; 7 great grandchildren; and one brother Robert L. Smith of Decatur.She was preceded in death by her parents. "
