Patricia Davenport, 79, of Decatur, IL passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 20, 2017.A Memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 333 W. North St., Decatur, IL. Burial will be in the Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, IL.Patricia was born on June 05, 1937 in Decatur, IL the daughter of William (Curly) and Sybil Stanza Nottingham. She married Jim Roberts in 1956. She later married Michael Ray Davenport on March 17, 1990 in Las Vegas NV. He was her soul mate and the “best husband in the world”. His step-children loved him very much. He passed away on August 14, 2005.Patricia graduated from Decatur High School in 1955 and LPN School in 1977. Patricia was a highly respected nurse for over 30 years. She was known for the enormous amount of love she gave to her family and her patients. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital and many nursing homes, most recently McKinley Court.Pat loved her animals and everyone else’s; owning 5 cats and 5 dogs. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Mexico and New Orleans. She was also a huge U of I basketball fan. She also enjoyed spending time with her pets and always had room at her table for adopted family and friends. She was loved by so many, the matriarch of many generations who left an imprint on so many hearts. She will be eternally missed and never forgotten.Mom, “grandma Pat” leaves behind her children; Brian Roberts of Jemison, AL; Kevin Roberts; Chris (Lynda) Roberts; Todd (Kenny Wilder) Roberts; and Lisa (Jim) Proctor all of Decatur, IL; Diana (Maritza) Roberts of Tampa, FL and Laura (Tina) Roberts-German of Decatur, IL. Pat is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.Pat was preceded in death by one son, Jeff and one grandson, Nicklaus.Mom, may your stay in Heaven be all you ever dreamed and you are now and forever in our hearts.
