Patricia A. Carter, 84, of Decatur, IL, passed away 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Patricia was born August 26, 1930 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Harold and Mabel (Martin) Anderson. She married Eugene M. Carter in February 1969 in Decatur, IL. Patricia worked for IL Power for 27 years before retiring. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Eugene of Decatur, IL; son Mark Ferguson of Decatur, IL; stepchildren Marva Jean (J.C.) Connors, Rodney (Julie) Carter, Chris Ann (Donald) Meyers, all of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Travis Booth, Brian Meyers, Tara Meyers; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lylis Jean Hickman, brothers Merrill "Andy" Anderson and Neal Anderson, and sister Bette Jo Hamer. "
