Patricia Ann Sargent-Roderick Beristain, 66, of Decatur, IL., passed away at 6:58 P.M. on Saturday (05-29-2010) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.A memorial service will be held in celebration of her life at 6:00 P.M. on Friday (06-04-2010) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to: Macon County Animal Shelter.Patricia was born on January 17, 1944, the daughter of Franklin and Helena (Hudson) Sargent. She married Gerald Roderick in 1962. He preceded her in death in 1983.Patricia retired after ten years at Wal-Mart North , Decatur, IL.She is survived by her daughter: Shelly (Roderick) Walker and husband Kevin of Decatur, IL.; two grandchildren: Natashia Walker and fianc Justin Brueggemann of Decatur, IL. and Bradley Walker of Decatur, IL.; and two sisters: Mary Dillman of Decatur, IL. and Sharon Oldfield of Arizona.Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.She loved her family very much, including her cat Jeeper.
