Kite, 89, of Decatur, IL, passed away 7:57 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Symphony of Decatur.Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m, Monday, September 19, 2016, at North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements.Orvilleen was born December 29, 1926, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Orville and Theodoshia (Standefer) Yates. She married William Monroe Thompson and he preceded her in death.Orvilleen was a homemaker and loving mother. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word search, reading, collecting dolls, and had a passion for cats.She is survived by her children Jean Grandon, Orvilleen Lane, Leroy Thompson, Stacy Thompson, all of Decatur, IL; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brothers Loron Yates of Tower Hill, IL, Frank Yates of Shelbyville, IL, Robert Yates of Spokane, WA, Jimmie Yates of California.She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Emerson Yates, Albert Yates, son William Orville Thompson, husband William Thompson, grandchildren Michelle Wickland, Thomas J.
