Oren Reynolds

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Star of Hope Mausoleum, Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.Memorials may be made to ARBA - American Rabbit Breeders Association.Oren was born on February 25, 1906, in Herrick, IL, the son of Willie Clifton and Mary Luella (Fagg) Reynolds. He married Bessie Irene Snow in 1924, in Herrick, IL. She preceded him in death on February 22, 1988. He then married Ida Chloe Pridemore . She preceded him in death on August 12, 2001.Oren worked for the Army Corps of Engineers, and then as a meat cutter for Eastern Packing Company for 42 years, retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Herrick, IL, and was a Mason. Oren loved raising rabbits and was a professional judge. He was an editor for the ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association) until 2005. Oren was known as Mr. ARBA.Surviving are his daughter-in-law Vivian L. Reynolds of Decatur, IL; step children John Williams and wife Nancy of Decatur, IL, Charlotte Neves and husband Bill of Bangor, MI, Donna Bennett of Rochester, IL; great grandchildren Ryan Reynolds, Seth Reynolds, Aron Reynolds; step grandchildren Rick Harmon and wife Linda, Jerry Harmon, Paul Williams and wife Stephanie, and David Williams, all of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are three step great grandchildren, two great great grandchild, and four step great great grandchildren.Oren was preceded in death by is parents, two wives, son Raymond O.
