Opal Rose McCabe, 86, of Cisco, passed away December 31, 2024 at The Loft of Decatur.
Graveside service will be 12:00 PM, Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Croninger Cemetery in Cisco. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, is assisting the family.
Opal was born October 16, 1938 in Decatur the daughter of Ulrich and Ann (Newbank) McCabe. She proudly served our country in the US Air Force as a Nurse. She then worked as a nurse for many years, most recently at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Surviving are her brothers: Bill McCabe of Villa Grove and John McCabe of Missouri.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Elizabeth Clifford, Mary Reynolds, and Celesta “Dolly” Painter.
