Opal Rhodes Hunt, 87, of Decatur, IL., died Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Beacon Hill at East Gate, Grand Rapids, Michigan.Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday (05-06-2010) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL., with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.Mrs. Hunt was born on October 16, 1922, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of William Lee and Jennie Belle (Hughes) Rhodes. She married Francis Lloyd Hunt November 22, 1945, in Decatur. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Hunt worked as a secretary at Lakeview High School for several years. She enjoyed genealogy and researching her family history, counted cross stitch, and ceramics. She was affiliated with Cleveland Avenue United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Hunt is survived by her children, Phillip Hunt and Virginia L. Rollins, both of Caledonia, MI; brother Robert L. Rhodes of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren: Eduard Hunt and William Hunt, both of Boise, ID.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Bernadine Tomlinson "
