Opal Golden

Opal Anna Golden, 92, of Decatur, IL., passed away at 12:51 P.M. on Saturday (05-21-2011) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday (05-25-2011) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL., with visitation from 10:30 A.M. until service time. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Opal was born on May 23, 1918, the daughter of Luther Poole and Linnie Mae (Winchester) Poole. She married Virgil W. Golden in 1936 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death.She was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Citizens National Bank.Opal is survived by her daughter Shirley McGinnis and husband Merle of Mahomet, IL.; two half-sisters: Mae Auten and husband Harold of Decatur, IL. and Doris Earley of Champaign, IL.; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, three sisters, and her daughter Ruth Marler.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
