Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 26, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 P.M., Friday, July 25, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cross Cemetery, Oakley, IL. Memorials may be made to the Education Fund for Kelsey Wolfe, c/o The Gerber State Bank, 110 E. Elm, Argenta, IL 62501.David was born March 22, 1961 in Decatur, IL, the son of Olin J. Wolfe and Kay (Helm) Varner. He married Christine Shriver on June 27, 1981 in Decatur, IL.David worked as an electrician for I.B.E.W. Local 146 since 1981. From 1998 to the present, he served on the Macon County Board, serving as Chairman from December 2002 to 2006. He served as the Oakley Twp. Supervisor for the past 2 years. David loved hunting, fishing, farming and raising cattle.He is survived by his wife Christine of Oakley; children Heather Urbanowicz and husband Josh of Blue Mound, IL, Jessica Wolfe and Kelsey Wolfe, both of Oakley, IL; grandson Hunter Urbanowicz of Blue Mound, IL; father Olin J. Wolfe and wife Lena of Oakley, IL; mother Kay Varner and husband Roger of Macon, IL; sisters Teresa Krall of Taylorville, IL, Lisa Warner of Decatur, IL; stepbrothers David Ward of Oreana, IL, William Ward of Missouri; stepsister Melissa Wolfe of Oakley, IL.
