Norma Stiles

Norma J. Stiles, 92, of Decatur, IL, passed away with her family by her side at 1:55 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2013, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL. Memorials may be made to Latham United Methodist Church, Latham, or Warrensburg or Latham Volunteer Fire Departments. Norma was born August 14, 1921, in rural Chesnut, IL, the daughter of Orval J. and Mary E. (Canoles) Taylor. She married James F. Stiles, Sr. on November 24, 1940 at Harmony E.U.B. Church in rural Latham. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2003. Norma was a member of Latham United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children James F. Stiles, Jr. and wife Colleen of Latham, Dorothy Stiles, Jeannie Bosley and husband Ed of Decatur, Donna Shull and husband Greg of Maroa; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 2 step grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild, 2 step great great grandchildren; brothers Robert J. Taylor of Decatur, Dale L. Taylor of Latham; and sister Betty J. Horn of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Violet and Audrey. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Heartland of Decatur and the nursing staff of DMH for their loving care given to Norma. "
