Norma Sparling

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 19, at Hillside Bethel Church, with visitation 9-10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements.Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.Norma was born December 20, 1932, in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of Virgil Lee and Erma (Miller) Barton. She married Ivan Sparling on July 2, 1994.Norma was a member of Hillside Bethel Church. She enjoyed crafts, and painting ceramics for over 50 years.Surviving are her husband Ivan of Decatur, IL; son Steven Hanners and wife DiAnna of Decatur, IL; daughter Vickie Hanners-Gatchel and husband Steven of St. Charles, IL; step children Penny L May and husband Frank of Conroe, TX, Teresa Carnahan of Conroe, TX, Rocky J. Sparling and wife Dianna of Oklahoma City, OK; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers Robert Barton and wife Linda of OK, and Roy Barton of Rolla, MO.Norma was preceded in death by her parents and stepson Ivan Wayne Sparling.
