Norma J. Johner, 87, of Warrensburg, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at her residence. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Friday, January 9, 2015, at Warrensburg United Methodist Church, Warrensburg, IL, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. till service time at the church. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL. Memorials may be made to Warrensburg United Methodist Church. Norma was born July 16, 1927 in Warrensburg, IL, the daughter of Irvin and Donna (Fickes) Schroeder. She married George Johner on July 6, 1947 in Warrensburg, IL. Norma was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church, where she was involved with Vacation Bible School. She worked for 10 years for Warrensburg school district as a secretary and bus driver. Norma was a member of Farm Bureau Primetimers, and served as secretary. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cared about her family. She especially cherished the grandchildren and great-grandchildren taking time for their school programs, basketball games, and graduations- as they were her priority #1. She honored each of them with a birthday and wedding anniversary card every year. She took time to call and visit them to see what they were doing. She unconditionally cared about her family. She valued them all. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, George of Warrensburg, IL; sons Randy (Diane) Johner of Forsyth, IL, Mark (Shirley) Johner of Warrensburg, IL; grandchildren Steve, Kevin, Brian, Alison, Andrew, Karyn, Lucas, and Joel, 8 great grandchildren; and sister Virginia (Oz) Goodwin of Decatur, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Debra, son Craig, and brother Gene. "
