Norma Gaffron-Holcomb, 89, of Decatur, IL, died 12:50 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at her residence. Private family graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central IL or St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital. Norma was born December 22, 1923 in Assumption, Illinois, the daughter of Louie and Flossie Mae (Fulk) Whitacre. She was a graduate of Warrensburg High School and worked as a dispatcher for Morgan Drive Away Inc. in Texas. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Smalley of Decatur, IL; sons Owen Duane Gaffron and Michael Gaffron, both of Kentucky; loving grandsons and grandchildren and great grandchildren; special long time friends, Don Whitacre and Bob Huddleston. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jacquelin Gaffron Brown, two son-in-laws, husbands, Owen H. Gaffron and James E. Holcomb, parents, grandparents, step-father Clark Curry; and so many friends and classmates. God Bless All. "
