Visitation will be on Friday, May 16 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N. Oakland Avenue, Decatur, IL 62526. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, at 10:00 A.M., at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Cantrell St., Decatur, IL 62521.Neva was born to Clarence and Grace Lunsford Black on December 27, 1913, in Reynolds County, MO. She moved to Decatur with her brother and father in 1921, following her mothers death. As a young girl, Neva lived in Webster Hall for some years. Her brother, Sylvan, lived in Cantrell Hall. In later years, she frequently recounted her life in Webster Hall with gratitude and fondness.Neva attended Decatur High School and later worked at the Hi-Flyer Kite Factory and Greiders Cafeteria. She married Albert L. Fulk in 1933 and they had one son, Jerry. During WWII, she worked at Macon Arms Factory and later worked at Flint Eaton Pharmaceuticals. Neva was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed card playing and a good joke.In 1957, she and her husband moved to Riverside, CA. Neva was a member of the National Contesters Association and won valuable prizes for her slogans, song titles, jingles and other entries. She was also an avid reader. Her husband died in 1976 and in 1989, she moved to Bonita, Ca to be closer to her family. Her favorite pastime was traveling. She took many trips in the United States and went to Europe, Australia and Africa. Neva enjoyed family reunions in Decatur and Elsinore, MO.Neva was predeceased by her brother Sylvan and adopted sister Dolores Foster of Fontana, CA. She is survived by her son Jerry; daughter-in-law Carol; grandchildren Kathleen Main, John Fulk and Michael Fulk; great grandchildren Brittany, Nicole, William and Jennifer; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
