Nancy Ann Duffer, 89, of Decatur, died at home on Sunday, August 16, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Harristown Cemetery in Harristown, IL. Memorials in Nancy’s honor may be made to the Harristown Fire Protection District. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur is assisting the family.
Nancy was born on September 24, 1936, to Jesse and Ruth (Turner) Grandon. She married Sidney E. Duffer Sr. on October 14, 1958, in Decatur, IL; he preceded her in death on February 2, 2022.
Nancy is survived by her son, Sid Jr. and his wife, Kathy; daughters, Lori K. Harvey (Jean-Paul Tertocha) and Patricia L. Nixon and her husband, Mark; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Wenona Grandon and Jean Grandon; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Ruth Ann Tertocha; grandson, Michael A. Duffer; brothers, Bill, Gerald, Jim and Mike Grandon; and sisters-in-law, Ann and Joan Grandon.
Nancy enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching soap operas, collecting and listening to Elvis, and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals.
The family extends special thanks to Nancy’s nieces, Lisa Cave and Barbara Medlock, and to Kristyn Kennedy for their loving and excellent care.
