Nancy Costello

Nancy Sue Costello, 69, of Decatur, died Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Fair Havens Christian Home. There will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice of charity. Nancy was born January 16, 1944, in Decatur, the daughter of William and Clara (Schober) Cagle. She worked as a tire inspector for Firestone for 28 years. Prior to that, she was a waitress at Islands Café and Illinois Café. Nancy loved making ceramics and collecting dolls. She loved children, and was often referred to as Aunt Nancy by many. She was a member of New Beginnings Church of God, a union steward, and an honorable member of Local #713. Nancy is survived by her sisters, Carol Roarick Kelly (Chuck) of Pomona, CA, and Pat Lourash (Benny) of Decatur, IL; aunts, Leona Ellis, Betty Kiefer, and Florence Cagle, all of Fisher, IL; 11 nieces and nephews, 26 great nieces and nephews, and 21 great great nieces and nephews; best friends, Pam Hinton and Debbie Brust. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Pumphrey. Nancy's family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Fair Havens Christian Home, especially nurses Nicole and Cathy. "
