Morris Evans

Morris "Marty" Evans, 46, of Decatur, IL, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation to follow the services until 5:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to DMH Ask Program or to the family of Marty Evans. Marty was born October 3, 1965 in Decatur, IL, the son of Morris and Sharon (McKee) Evans. He married his longtime companion since 1988, Jeanette Logue in Paducah, KY. Marty was a member of New Vision Church. He was a self employed painter with Elite Construction, enjoyed roller skating, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, swimming and especially playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his father and mother Morris and Donna Evans of Decatur, IL; wife Jeanette Evans of Decatur, IL; daughters Suzanne (Sean) Martinez of Clinton, IL, Sarah (Richard) Ernst of Decatur, IL; son Ashton (fiancee' Evelyn) Wise of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Daniel Korzenewski, Abigail Stone, Jacob Stone, Matthew Ernst, Andrew Ernst, Adrien and Ramiah Riley; brother Ronnie Evans of Decatur, IL; sister Tammy (Jerry) Walters of Benld, IL; and grandmother Helen Ogilvie. He was preceded in death by his mother Sharon, grandfather Paul Ogilvie and cousin Steve Garner. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by his family and friends.
