Molly Frances Livesey, 92, a long time resident of Niantic, IL passed on to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Lincoln Christian Village surrounded by her loving family. A memorial visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 until the service at 1:30 p.m. at Niantic United Methodist Church, 211 North St., Niantic, IL. Pastor Butch Renecker will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Macon County Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Niantic United Methodist Church or Lincoln Christian Village (200 Floor) in lieu of flowers. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements. She was born March 12, 1927 in Arthur, Illinois the daughter of Virgil and Olney Wray Daugherty. She married Boyd "Sunny" Livesey on November 7, 1947 in Decatur. He preceded her in death December 20, 1996. Molly was an active member of Niantic United Methodist Church and involved in the United Methodist Lay Witness Missions. She retired after 50 years of being a hairdresser. Those left to honor her memory and legacy of faith, love, and generosity are her daughter, Sandy Himstedt and husband Gary of Murrells Inlet ,SC; son, Rick and wife Kari of Kankakee; grandchildren Ryan and Reed Himstedt, Megan Himstedt Wheeler and husband Christopher, Melissa Himstedt Jordan and husband Scott; Jared Livesey and wife Tola, Nicole Livesey Pacini and husband Andrew: great-grandchildren, Savannah and Noah Wheeler, Sophia and Vincent Pacini, Emsley Himstedt, Collins Jordan, Lennon and Saramani Livesey; her sister, Virginia Daugherty Brock and husband Kenny; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Dean; her sister, Jean Daugherty Van Praag,and her brother, Lindsey Wray Daugherty.
