M. L. "Bud" Waldrop, 80, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Memorial services will be 3:30 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church of Decatur. Bud was born August 27, 1934 in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Gilbert Wesley and Hester Alice (Wells) Waldrop. He married Sally Jane Chambers on October 27, 1956 in Atwood, IL. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2014. Bud was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bud sold insurance for Prudential and other insurance companies until 1982. In the latter part of his life, Bud sold new and used cars. He is survived by his son Thomas Waldrop and wife Natalie of Fishers, IN; granddaughters Molly and Emily also of Fishers, IN; and one sister Dorothy Imogene Saums of Columbus, IN. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sally, and three sisters. "
