Mitzi Parker

Mitzi Carmen Parker, 79,of Decatur, IL, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in her home. There will be no services. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family. Mitzi was born April 5, 1937, in Minneapolis, MN, daughter of Harlan Joseph and Wilmoth Beatrice (Crowe) Smith. Mitzi was an L.P.N. at St. Mary’s Hospital for over 30 years. She enjoyed feeding the birds, squirrels and deer in her back yard, gardening, her cats and especially enjoyed time with her family. Mitzi was a member of A.S.P.C.A. Surviving are her daughter: Lori L. Matrisch of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Colin Parker and wife Jinny of Argenta, IL and Gregory Sautelet and wife Cassie of Revere, MA; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers: William Smith of Jacksonville, TN and Byron Smith of Decatur, IL. Mitzi was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Carmen. "
